“Amazing Location
Our family returned to Dungowan after spending an amazing weekend there a few years ago. After having another very special weekend we are keen to make this an annual family get together. The property is beautifully maintained with so much to offer. The addition of the swimming pool from our last visit was very welcoming on a warm November weekend. The standard of accommodation is exquisit and the house so large there is plenty of space. All our children are late teens early 20’s and they had an action packed weekend at the property and an afternoon trip to Nerriga Pub. It would be impossible to find a better location for a large family.

“Stunning Property
I booked Dungowan Estate for my husbands 40th as we wanted a relaxing getaway with family and friends away from the city.
The drive from Sydney wasn’t bad as we were given specific instructions on how to get there.
The property and land were absolutely stunning. We expected it to be beautiful through viewing of the photos and past reviews but being there completely exceeded the expectations. The house is decorated in such a way that the ambience is warm and inviting. Perfect for a family getaway.
There was so much for the kids and adults to do from bush walking to board games to wood fire pizza making to feeding the hens and coy fish. Waking up to the stunning landscape surrounded by beautiful kangaroos and the resident wombat was exciting. Falling asleep to a sky filled with shining stars was relaxing and peaceful.
Having gone in winter, we expected to freeze but the house was kept warm with the floor heating so not one heater needed to be used. the Chefs kitchen had every piece of utensil plus more so entertaining was a breeze. The amenities were top notch and the man cave was a much desired room by the men and children.
I could not fault this place! We will definitely be back for more!”

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at Dungowan with 18 friends. What a fabulous house! Everyone was blown away with the beautiful surrounds. It adequately accommodated all of us and had everything you could ever need to have a great weekend away. The opportunity to bring our whole family (8 Adults and 7 Grandsons) together for Christmas in a unique and wonderful location was fantastic. Space, Space and more, for everyone to enjoy everything from the pool, the tennis court, the lake, space to ride bikes and ball games. Even the privacy of the boat House for those that wanted quiet time. Outstanding Kitchen, BBQ and Pizza Oven enabled unbelievable choices for cooking. “Great for a Family Getaway
From the moment you arrive at the gates and the cherry blossom-lined driveway there is a sense of grandeur. This is apparent in the photos and comes to life when you arrive. Dungowan Estate lived up to our expectations.
The few of us who love to cook thoroughly enjoyed the 3 ovens and the butlers pantry, and the Pizza oven produced some excellent Pizzas.
Although it was cold, the grandchildren braved the pool, and played with much of the sports equipment that was available. Parents were constantly being encouraged to join little ones on the tennis court. Also, the novelty of regularly retrieving eggs from the chickens kept them entertained, as did the kangaroos that arrived in the lower grounds at dusk every day.
There were 9 adults and 6 youngsters, ranging from 5 to 16, so sleeping arrangements worked well as we were ‘family’. Carole L. Sydney September 2016

The grandkids were in there element running every where as there are little cubby houses in nooks all over the house they also enjoyed feeding the chickens collecting eggs and feeding the fish in the pond .
The adults enjoyed themselves as the children were so busy we only saw them if they were hungry even then they were too busy to stay and eat for long
All in all a great weekend was had by all Sarah the caretaker was fantastic the house was spotless and the kitchen well stocked with everything you need as far as condiments to make a gourmet meal

There is no doubt that this property deserves five stars!
A large group of family and friends stayed for a weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday. The property was beyond expectations… even having read all the very positive reviews. The quality of the home and guest house was exceptional, clean and well stocked with all the extras we needed to make our stay comfortable.
We hired PB catering who delivered an amazing four course very long lunch for 20 on the Saturday, which were followed by games on the green and walks down to the boat house and the Corang River.
The property is in a remote location which is part of its charm, however it was a little difficult for some guests to locate that arrived in the evening. I would recommend guests arriving before it gets dark if possible.
Overall a sensational property and everyone that attended wants to go back!”

Words are a little difficult to describe how beautiful Dungowan is. I booked Dungowan to celebrate my 50th. I just wanted a long table lunch with a small number of close friends!
The website looked excellent, and I knew that I had found the right location. However, these do not adequately describe how beautiful this property is. The 2km drive in from the road was great for the anticipation. And as you arrive at the last gate the house looked spectacular set up on the hill.
Dungowan is of such a high quality, and the fitout was beautiful. The beds were like sleeping in a cloud! And as for that kitchen, each and every person wanted to have it in their own place. We ended up having a long table lunch set out under the trees, and it couldn’t have been any more perfect. Every person was just blown away by the whole experience. As for me, I was looking for a spectacular location to celebrate my birthday. I cannot imagine a place any more perfect.
Thank you, it was certainly a great way to celebrate my 50th. We set the tables up on the driveway under the trees, given that it was so hot, and it was simply beautiful. It was just a magnificent lunch!

We had such an amazing weekend at gorgeous Dungowan. The house is stunning, the property is stunning, the view is stunning. We arrived for the weekend and literally did not leave the property until we went home. “Blew our Mind!
Thank you Deanna and the Dungowan crew for an amazing stay. We truly had a brilliant time at Dungowan. We were 6 couples with 10 kids ranging in age between 18months and 9years and what could have been chaos was actually an amazing experience, all down to the property, it’s surrounds and the abundance of equipment to keep all entertained. The property is amazing and so well equipped that no detail was left unthought of. The trampoline kept the kids entertained for hours, the pool provided hours of fun and the views and outdoor spaces allowed plenty of time for the bigger kids to sit back and relax. We were celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday and hired caterers from Ulla Dulla for the Saturday night who were also first class (Citrus catering) and whilst they prepared a fantastic 4 course meal we relaxed and sipped champagne on the terrace knowing that the kids were down and everything else was taken care of. This place is one in a million and an experience you will never forget. Thanks again!

After a 2hr and 40min drive home from your exquisite property, Dungowan, even my 13 and 11 year olds were not impressed to be back home!
What a spectacular experience you provide at Dungowan.
We were a little afraid it could not possibly be as good as it looked or even what friends had told us, but it was beyond expectations.
To many, looking for and finding a quality, luxury destination to cater for a family of 12 adults and 9 children sounds like a nightmare…but once I stumbled across Dungowan everything fell into place.
From the open and easy communications and booking process with Deanna to the welcoming and accommodating caretakers, Sarah and Chris, I was made to feel comfortable and confident with my decision to choose Dungowan for my 40th Birthday weekend.
The exquisite location, attention to detail, the quality of the home, décor and grounds is just spectacular.
I can honestly say it was one of the best weekends of my life. Even the youngest children (2 ½ yrs old) were overwhelmed by the beauty of Dungowan! My whole family were more than grateful I had booked your property.

“One of the best!!!
We stayed at Dungowan for our annual Australia Day trip this year and were blown away by everything about the property. You can see from the pictures how beautiful the house is and it turned out even better in real life. We were a party of 10 adults and 9 children, there was plenty of space to spare and the house was finished to a high quality. Everything has been thought of at Dungowan, from the toy room in the roof wings, kids tv room with play station upstairs, pool table in the basement, highchairs, prams, sports equipment, two coffee machines in the kitchen and finally the jar of homemade rocky road to greet us on arrival. Outside there’s plenty of tables and chairs for eating and enclosed lawns for the kids and adults to play on. A short walk down the drive to enjoy the pool and the kids can collect the chicken eggs daily. The cottage was as well appointed as the main house and just far enough away from the house to provide some peace and tranquility for those in our party without kids. Our only regret was that we were unable to stay longer than 3 days.

We all had such a lovely stay at Dungowan celebrating our dad’s 70th birthday. We are a group of 4 families (9 adults, 10 kids) and the property allowed each family to have their own private wing with separate hallway, bedrooms and bathrooms which made the night-time kiddy bathtime/bed routines much easier. There was also so much to do on the property for the kids which meant the iPads barely featured on the weekend we were there! The kitchen facilities were great for such a large group as were all the entertaining and dining areas. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this property to anyone wanting something extra special for a large group.
